He has so much knowledge of every facet of a purchase and a sale. John counseled us regarding inspection issues, attorney issues, remodeling issues, etc.
According to John and our attorney, our first contract (which we walked away from after 6 weeks) was the worst deal they had ever witnessed. But John was ever the counselor/advocate, setting up inspections for us, contacting the seller, keeping us apprised of every option possible. When we decided to walk away from the first deal, he went above and beyond our wildest expectations to help us purchase the home that we are now in. He interfaced with the lender, the seller, and was absolutely instrumental in making a contract happen in the shortest possible time. John Creighton is a dream realtor, and we can't say enough good things about our experience with him!

I worked with John Creighton on both the purchase of my condo and the sale. He was very helpful both times. It was a tough sale given the market conditions and the competition but he made it to most of the showings to highlight the items that were not visible and that definitely helped secure the sale.

From the start, John made it a priority to get to know us as well as possible. He quickly understood what we were looking for in a home. Overall, he made nothing less than a Herculean effort to find us what we wanted. We always felt that we were John's first priority, no matter how busy he was or what other obligations he may have had.
John made a point to understand our particular background and our prior moving and home purchasing experience. He studied our likes and dislikes, our living preferences, as well as hundreds of other quirks and issues that affected our home-buying decision. He paid attention to every detail, often pointing out issues we hadn't thought of ourselves.
We were not familiar with the Chicago area, so John made the extra effort to help us understand how the market differed from other cities we had lived in. His education was invaluable in helping us find the best home possible, especially in this difficult market.

Marie and I are back in Connecticut and I would like to thank you for your time, support and guidance. It was extremely helpful. I specifically want to thank you for supporting Marie with the idea of a potential relocation to Illinois. You have done a great job!... Yesterday, for our last morning before flying back, Marie wanted to show me the house you visited together in Highland Park and we spent some time in the area (city center, bakery, library, town hall, view to the lake from a close park, and of course some pictures of the Ward Willits House... ;-). Highland Park is definitely a place we both love very much. There is several reasons why we consider options outside the city and even further North from Evanston, but one of them is that we were not absolutely convinced by the French Lycée...
